Winner, Winner… April FOTM & Bluefish in May.

Well, we’re one month in and we’ve just crowned our first $500 winner. Garrett Weir, with only the second fish weighed in this month, posted a whopper 15.1 lb Blackfish that he caught fishing with Tom Daffin on Fishing’ Fever Sport fishing in Cape May. Not too surprising as both Garrett and Captain Tom have a history with Big Blackfish. Captain Tom’s Fishin Fever is the same boat that the current NJ state record was caught on. This month however, I’m betting the field. As the Bluefish category has a much wider spread. The fish are already started showing up heavily in the Raritan Bay and Manasquan River. With catches being reported south from Barnegat Inlet to Atlantic City, It shouldb’t be too long until we have a leader on the board!
