Rock the Dock Fluke Tournament

ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT

Rock the Dock is Long Beach Island’s only shotgun start fluke tournament. Entrants check in and submit to a visual inspection of vessels prior to fishing. Fishing may only take place between the official start time and lines out. Weigh-ins are live at the Boat Yard in Manahwkin and weigh ins can occur via boat or vehicle.

Single anglers may enter the tournament and fish aboard the Mary M Charter Boat - The entry fee includes Boat Fare and Gratuity

Single anglers may enter the tournament and fish aboard the Miss Beach Haven Party Boat - It is the responsibility of the angler to reserve and pay for the spot aboard the vessel separately from the tournament entry.

Single anglers may enter the tournament as a land based or kayak fisherman. These anglers are required to fish or launch from LBI and may not leave the island or fish from the mainland during the tournament.

Awards and payouts are live and occur immediately after the weigh ins have concluded. There is food and alcohol served at the Boat Yard.

The tournament entry fee covers the following payout prizes; Single Heaviest Fluke Limit 1-5th Place (Payouts are based on the number of entries)

BONUS PRIZES

1st Place Heaviest Slot Fish - $1,000 - Prize sponsored by NJ Fishing Club, Fisherman’s Headquarters, The Boatyard & Jingles Bait and Tackle. This prize will be provided to any angler who weighs in the heaviest summer flounder between 17 and 17.99 inches. The length will be determined by the tournament director at weigh ins. Any fish not appropriately sized will be disqualified from weigh ins. Any fish that has been mutilated or altered in anyway to adhere to the slot limit including cut or trimmed tail fins will be disqualified from weigh ins. If it is determined that you have altered your fish to meet the slot criteria you will be disqualified from the tournament and forfeit your entry money.

Entry Fees, Costs and Calcutta’s:

Boat Entry - $225 - This entry covers private vessels with no more than 6 passengers including captain and crew.

Mary M Party Boat Entry - $200 - This entry covers single anglers aboard the Mary M party boat out of Barnegat Light. The fee includes Boat Fare and Gratuity as well as your tournament entry and a $10 Mary M Calcutta.

Land Based/ Kayak Anglers - $100 - This entry covers single anglers fishing from shore or launching a kayak from Long Beach Island. The fee includes tournament entry as well at the Land Based/Kayak Calcutta.

Calcutta - $300/$100- The tournament Calcutta is a single entry ($300 for boats, $100 for single entrants) with 5 payout places.

Registration Fee - $15 boat/ $10 single entrant, this fee is used to offset credit card and website fees as well as other costs associated with running the tournament.
