Welcome to the NJ Fishing Club
Welcome all,
It’s official, we’re a thing. I know many of you were/are a little cautious, as I’ve already received numerous emails and DM’s about the validity of our club, and whether or not we’re a spam account. I assure you, this is real. The money is real, and we’re really paying it out to NJ fishermen. Most of it to those NJ fisherfolk who become club members.
I created the club for several reasons, the biggest one being my passion for saltwater fishing in New Jersey. Only slightly followed by my passions for competition and sharing our sport with the next generation. Friendly fishing competitions have been a favorite of mine ever since I took down my first pool night time blue fishing on the Doris Mae back in the 90’s. There is a considerable number anglers in New Jersey who share my passions.
So here we have it, the NJ Fishing Club.
The goal of the club is to increase camaraderie of NJ anglers through competition, while educating the angling public and being a representative voice for the NJ fisherman. We will also focus on connecting retailers and manufacturers directly to NJ fishermen.
There is a lot of noise in the fishing industry and I am hoping that this club will help assist anglers unite our voices. We can become a permanent voice in fisheries management, regulations and even manufacturing. Together we can affect change. And if you’re not into all that, you’ve got the chance to win a shit ton of money.
Let me layout our contests...
Fish of the Month - Starting on the first day and ending on the last, FOTM is a month long quest for the heaviest fish of a given species. The target changes each month but the contest remains the same. The angler who lands and weighs in the heaviest fish is the winner. The prize is $500!
Ace Angler - Similarly, this contest awards the angler(s) who land and weigh in the heaviest fish. Only this one covers the entire year and there are 15 different specie categories. The prize for each is $500.
There is no limit to the number of categories you can win.
Beat the Fleet - Our annual Fluke Tournament. This will be the largest single day fluke tournament in the world and the largest fluke tournament in NJ. This first year we’re guaranteeing 16k in payouts but projecting a prize pool north of $75,000!
We’ve got even more contests planned including a couple photo contests.
We’ll continually announce them throughout the year.
Other Events
Currently we have 4 private party boat trips booked and planned. We’ll be adding more as these limited load trips fill up.
As the year progresses we’ll announce even more events, including social gatherings with guest speakers, BIG MONEY super pool trips, and more!
As a member you’re in. You’re got access to all the prize money all you’ve got to do is go fishing and get a little bit lucky. IN addition you also receive entry in our monthly giveaways. Each month we’ll raffle off some prizes from sponsors and marketing partners. If that’s not enough, let’s add 10% off at all of our partner tackle shops in NJ! (We’re populating that list now, and it will be announced on April 1st.)
